Job Summary:

As Intern, you will play an important role in all aspects of the investment process, from deal sourcing to portfolio management. You will work closely with the senior management teams of our portfolio companies to support them in reaching their financial and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research in emerging sustainable markets

• Take initiative to identify attractive companies and reach out to their founders and shareholders

• Support the deal captain in in the execution of new investments as well as portfolio management

• Support senior management of our portfolio companies in achieving their impact and financial goals, including identifying new opportunities for growth and improvements 

• Seek for new and innovative ways for SDG Capital to further advance the boundaries of impact investing

Requirements:

• Engineering or financial degree with solid grades

• Relevant internships in M&A, private equity and/or sustainability are a plus

• 3-6 months availability, at least four days a week

• Passion for sustainability and desire to make a positive impact

• Strong business sense, operational and analytical skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Proven ability to manage projects and work collaboratively with others

• Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Dutch is a plus
